The room was quite small, but it's NY. I didn't like that the bed was on a platform, and there was no facial tissue available. The place was painted all black in the hallways, which made it feel very dungeon like. The first night, I had a restless sleep due to a constant sound in the room (like a humming) and being right in front of the elevator. I wouldn't come back here due to that although the staff was nice and attentive to my needs. I booked another room, and instead of getting a nicer room, the bed was not the same and wasn't as comfy.

Mar 16, 2025 · HannahI had a great experience at the Hotel Alemeda Martin was a gem who was apart of their staff. He stood out to me by helping in so many ways to ensure my stay was comfortable and safe! The rooms are cozy giving you a relaxed at home vibe. The bar & atmosphere is beautiful! I definitely recommend for a one night stay or if you’re passing through for a conference like I was! There is no parking with the hotel
Mar 25, 2025 · Emily KomarnyWe were meeting up with younger family members in NYC and this is where they were staying, so we stayed there as well. The lobby area was pleasant and felt like there had been efforts to update and brighten an older facility. The staff were all great from front desk to maid service. Some describe the place as cool, so I guess as older folks we’re way past cool. The mattress on the low deck is just weird, and dangerous. My husband fell off the deck onto the concrete floor the first morning (fortunately not broken bones.) And we both struggled every morning to get up and off the mattress onto the deck and then down to the floor. It felt like high-end camping or a humane prison. And the black walls in the halls are just depressing/creepy. If you’re used to staying in hostels this will feel like a step up. If you like “different” you might like it. If you’re used to normal hotels, not so much. To be fair, we stayed only to be with family staying there. We knew ahead of time it wasn’t the right kind of hotel for us so we weren’t disappointed, just not very comfortable.
Feb 11, 2025 · DAN HANSONThis is based off our most recent stay for 12/30-31. This hotel worked out well for us for our needs. To start, it is very basic. The downstairs area is hip and fresh and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are definitely basic. They're trying to play off this whole minimalist concept and it kind of works but it is not super comfortable room. Not a lot of space to move around or anywhere to sit besides the very low bed or a single chair. The bed was probably a full which was a tad tight for my husband and I and it sits on wooden platform, no bed frame etc. Honestly not huge issue but it's very low to the floor which could be an issue for people with mobility issues. There's a ton of lights in the room yet somehow it was dark all the time. Great views of a crazy building across the street and close proximity to the highline. There was a raging party going on downstairs and the staff was doing a pretty good job of keeping it all controlled and we never heard any of the noise upstairs. Overall I would say this was a nice little place and offers a boutique-y experience.
Jan 01, 2025 · Tracy TreibleThis hotel is amazing!! We have been nothing but impressed by everything here. The rooms are spacious with lots of storage, the bathroom is perfect with lots of mirrors, the mattress is comfortable and bedding feels quality. The mattress is on the floor (slightly raised by the wooden step) which is the style of the hotel and is so cool. The blinds are great and make the rooms dark if you want to sleep in. Staff are friendly and welcoming and informed us of all the costs associated with our stay. And the free drink is just a cherry on top! Highly recommend.
