Very happy with my experience at this hotel. The rooms were a decent size, especially for NYC. The breakfast options were wonderful and included hot food. The fitness center is one of the best in any hotels I've stayed at. In addition to dumbbells and cardio equipment, they included kettlebells, medicine balls and a stability ball. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is also excellent. Close walk to Times Square, Broadway, the subway and tons of restaurants. I will definitely stay here again!

Guests consistently express happiness with their experience at this Hampton Inn. Many highlight the rooms as being a decent size, especially when compared to typical New York City accommodations. A standout feature is the breakfast, which is described as wonderful and includes hot food options, providing a satisfying start to the day. The fitness center is also a major plus, considered by some to be one of the best they've encountered in any hotel. It offers a comprehensive range of equipment beyond the usual dumbbells and cardio machines, including kettlebells, medicine balls, and a stability ball, catering to various workout preferences.
The staff at Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square Central are consistently described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive guest experience. The hotel's location is also deemed excellent, with a short walk to iconic areas like Times Square and Broadway, as well as convenient access to the subway and a multitude of restaurants.
Some reviewers note that this location feels like a higher-end Hampton Inn, particularly due to its amazing location right in the heart of Broadway, with theaters playing popular shows just next door and across the street. While some street noise is to be expected in such a central area of New York City, guests generally find it manageable. The hotel also features some cool technology, such as a smart key available through a mobile app, which allows guests to control the elevator, room key, and even the TV using their smartphones.
Two minor complaints were noted by one guest. Firstly, waiting for the elevators on a high floor (30th) could sometimes take 5-10 minutes, requiring guests to plan extra time for moving between their room and the lobby. Secondly, while the breakfast offers a good selection of standard Hampton Inn items like make-your-own Belgian waffles, oatmeal, bagels, pastries, coffee, eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, milk, and juice, the quality of the eggs and potatoes was considered below the level typically experienced at similar hotels.

Mar 23, 2025 · Kim BaileyThis location is on the high side of what you'd expect from a Hampton Inn. Amazing location a few blocks from Times Square and in the heart of Broadway ("Redwood" is currently playing next door, and "Aladdin" is currently playing across the street). There is a lot of street noise, but that cannot be avoided in New York. All the staff is extremely friendly -- I can't remember ever staying at this level of hotel and having so many staff members ask how my stay is going. There is also some cool tech, like a smart key available through the app, which allows you to control the elevator and room key, and even the TV, using your phone. Only two complaints. First, I was on the 30th floor, and it sometimes took 5-10 minutes to get between my room and the lobby, despite 3 working elevators. I had to learn to plan extra time just for that. Second, the breakfast was not very good. It had the standard Hampton Inn stuff -- make your own Belgian waffles (which were good), oatmeal, bagels, pastries, coffee, eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, coffee, milk, juice, etc. So the selection was good. But the eggs and potatoes were way below the level I have typically experienced at breakfast included types of hotels.
Mar 21, 2025 · Daniel SherwinterHampton Inn Manhattan Times Square offers a fantastic stay with unbeatable convenience. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a relaxing retreat after a day in the city. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk from Times Square, Broadway, and other major attractions. The friendly staff and complimentary breakfast add to the overall excellent experience. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and centrally located hotel in New York City.
Mar 26, 2025 · Basir AmaniIncredible location if you are looking to stay midtown, literally just one minute away from Times Square. Good budget friendly hotel, clean and comfortable and staff are lovely. The breakfast is fine, decent choice and plenty of it, however, the logistics of it are a shambles. Not a huge area for the number of guests and no staff to manage the flow so it's a free for all. You can easily spend 20 minutes trying to find a table. The lifts are also a nightmare during breakfast and up to 11.00 when guests are checking out. Again not uncommon to wait fifteen minutes for a lift and often it's full so you can't get in. Really needs to be addressed.
Mar 04, 2025 · Gary PembertonExcellent place. We were given a fairly large room which was quiet and comfortable. The location is brilliant. Breakfast was wholesome and good. Don't really like American scrambled eggs. Staff very helpful. We paid $150 per night incl. Breakfast. Good value for money.
