Margaritaville Resort Times Square

Great Atmosphere Great Views! So many options on several floors. Drinks are A+ and service is exceptional. Be sure to visit all floors , the pool, the rooftops, and be seated inside the Giant Statue of Liberty🗽from the DJ to the Food This Place Is a Vibe!! Also if you’re not staying at the Hotel you can indulge in renting a swim in the rooftop pool by the hour.

We had a very negative experience at this hotel. At checkout, they accused us of smoking in the room and demanded 1000$ in damages. They showed us papers with the time the smoke detector was triggered, but during that time, we were all showering and drying our hair with their hairdryer, which was overheating and emitting an odor. We even have a recording from that period proving we were drying our hair, not smoking. We don't smoke! We requested a room inspection and testing, but they refused. We contacted the management directly, but we received no response. After involving the police, they reduced the amount and took our 300$ deposit. We later discovered that we were not the only ones to experience this issue. We believe this hotel is running a scam and strongly advise caution.

If you want to be in the middle of it all, Margaritaville NYC is perfect! It is a pretty new hotel, clean, great furnishings and the design is tropically appropriate. Love the tropical island resort feel, the giant flip-flop in the lobby (recently decorated with a scarf and a huge Santa hat for Christmas), and steps from Times Square. Love that the room also opens up with a window (open a crack). Gym in the basement is clean, small and efficient enough for you to get a quick workout in. The rooftop pool was heated and totally fine to swim in, but largely deserted in the winter months. Pool closes at 4 p.m. in the winter (after dark), but you should check with reception on the hours. No problem for me though, really enjoyed the pool, however the hours are limited and may not always work with your check-in time, etc. Great decor, new rooms, great amenities and a very good experience overall. Staff were efficient, friendly, courteous. Do note that if you want a late checkout you will have to pay extra $$, but that was worth it to me to get some extra rest. I did feel I was at an island resort even though I was in one of the most busy, touristy areas in the world :) would book again!

We stayed here in January for my birthday weekend. We were so impressed with every detail that went into this resort! The staff was amazing, the room was so welcoming I absolutely did not feel like I was in a hotel. The drinks and food were so delicious! I would highly recommend staying here! And it was actually quiet in the room even though we were in the heart of Times Square.

I honestly had a bad experience. Unfortunately before checking out I decided to enjoy the complementary breakfast so I went down to the restaurant and was told I needed a voucher that should’ve been given upon check-in. I never received the voucher so I was then told to go to the front desk to request a voucher. We were charged $50 for what we thought was the resort fee, which was supposed to include the free breakfast. According to the manager a miss Valentina, she refused to offer us the voucher and told us that the $50 was a charge for access to the pool and gym. I explained that myself and my boyfriend were not interested in using those amenities, but we would really appreciate the complementary breakfast. She told me that she would not be able to give us the vouchers for breakfast even though we didn’t use any of the amenities. This was very disappointing as we both ate dinner at their restaurant last night and spent over $300 which I will add was super slow service it literally took 25 minutes just to get a simple drink and when I wanted my next drink which was a beer for my boyfriend it took another 25 minutes so for two people to have dinner two drinks each and an appetizer we literally were there for almost 3 hours. Just waiting on drinks and food. It was a bit ridiculous and yet the still refused a simple voucher to have a nice breakfast and complete what would’ve been a wonderful experience. Lastly, I just like to add that I was trying to check out via guest services on the television which apparently was unavailable so I called the front desk to ask for help and the guy at the front desk was very short with me was not pleasant at all and it’s just not the type of experience someone wants to have after spending so much money and also starting their day at early in the morning it was a bit harsh and I think needs a little more training on their social skills for their guests. I now never want to come back here again and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends the same. I will end this with the young man at the restaurant who wears the really cute lensless funky Glasses. He was definitely a treat had it not been for him I wouldn’t have anything nice to say about my experience at all.
