For us, as Louisiana locals, the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center presents a truly suitable and appealing option for a variety of reasons. Firstly, its prime location is a major draw. Morial Convention Center, or simply escaping for a fun-filled weekend, the hotel's proximity to major attractions means less time spent in transit and more time enjoying the unique charm of New Orleans. We know the value of convenience, and being able to walk to the French Quarter, the Port, or the National WWII Museum is a significant advantage.

From the welcoming Garden Grille & Bar where you can grab a bite, to the refreshing rooftop pool that offers a great escape from the Louisiana heat, the hotel provides features that enhance both leisure and business stays. The free Wi-Fi is a given for staying connected, and the pet-friendly policy is a big win for those of us who consider our four-legged friends part of the family and want to bring them along for the trip.
While one review mentioned a less comfortable bed, it's worth noting that overall customer feedback often highlights the friendly staff and excellent service, particularly regarding the breakfast buffet and attentive waitstaff like Paul. A welcoming and helpful team can make all the difference in a hotel experience, especially when you're looking for a relaxing break. The consistency of service, despite individual room preferences, is often a strong indicator of a well-run establishment.
Finally, the various promotions and special offers, including those tailored for Louisiana residents through loyalty programs, provide opportunities for cost-effective stays. Being able to access discounts or packages specifically designed for local travelers, or those attending conventions, adds to the value proposition. In essence, the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center offers a practical, comfortable, and well-located option that understands the needs of Louisiana residents looking to experience the best of New Orleans.

Jun 15, 2025 · Beth MCurrently staying here for a work convention. Typically a hotel means a great bed and comfort. We would be better off sleeping on a couch. The bed feels like it’s either extremely old and broken down or it’s the cheapest they could afford. The two pillows we were provided feel like the stuffing was removed before we arrived. This is easily the least comfortable room I’ve stayed in anywhere.
Jun 11, 2025 · Joseph SaverinoThe hotel room had a few issues. The first one is there was a hole in the wall by the lock. The second was the door stop on the bathroom door was damaged and about to fall off. And finally the outer curtains don't close all the way so you can't fully make the room dark. Other then at the hotel is great. Was quite and clean. $20 for breakfast feels like a lot but I didn't go.
Jun 15, 2025 · Ryan McCormackMy husband and I went for a vacation for our honeymoon. He is a dialysis patient, the hotel and the staff were super nice to accommodate us by helping us storage our medical supplies Until we arrived and check in, our medical supplies were delivered to the hotel room in a nice and easy manner. i am so thankful we booked with you guys as you made our first experience traveling with his equipment much easier. i will like to add that the staff in the front desk, bar and valet were super helpful at all times. i wish i could have the names all of everyone that personally help us, from the bottom of my heart thanks a lot and i hope to see you guys soon. :)
Apr 29, 2025 · Perla swindlehurstThis is a well-maintained hotel located in a pleasant neighborhood, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. It is quiet and safe. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring electric curtains and comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and professional. On weekends, a buffet breakfast is offered, while on weekdays breakfast is served à la carte. The hotel is within walking distance to the Riverwalk, outlet shops, and just steps away from the Convention Center, making it a great location for events or sightseeing. On the downside, the hotel does not offer free parking. The closest option is the Fulton Parking Garage, located right next to the hotel, which charges $25 for 24 hours. Additionally, as with many downtown New Orleans locations, traffic and parking availability can be a bit of a hassle during peak hours.
