Hyatt Place New York City / Times Square

First time in NY, and this hotel provided me with a good experience. The rooms are small and some are a little oddly shaped, but they're clean and comfortable. Having a complete breakfast included is a huge bonus; there are a lot of items to choose from and plenty of places to sit, even during the more crowded times. The location is pretty good, close to Times Square, Javits Center, and Hells Kitchen. The service is the standout though. The staff was friendly, kind, and went above and beyond, anticipating our needs. We felt well cared for and highly recommend!

My sister and I stayed at the Hyatt Place Feb 13-15. The accommodations were great. They offered a free breakfast with your stay. However we did not leave time for breakfast, but we did walk past the buffet and it had everything you could ever want for breakfast. The gentlemen that took care of our bags on arrival and departure were very nice and even let us access our bags when they were stored the day of departure. When we arrived home we noticed that we forgot to check the closet when we left and each left a pair of jeans behind. I contacted Vincent, the director of the front desk. He gave me his cell phone number and he went down to housekeeping to check for them. Unfortunately, there was no record of them being found. He reassured me that the whole room is stripped after check out and that if they do turn up he will contact me. He also offered us a free night stay on our next trip to New York, which he did not have to do as it is not their responsibility to make sure we grab all of our things. We will definitely be coming back to New York and staying at the Hyatt Place. It is located close to the subway and also made it easy to walk to a lot of the places we were visiting. ❤️Hyatt Place New York City

The best feature of this hotel is their very impressive complimentary breakfast. Really great, lots of selection. Delicious. Location was great. Quick 5-7min walk to the subway entrances. The service was wonderful. They had an issue with their checkin when we arrived but I was really impressed with how they dealt with it. Offering complimentary wine/water due to the longer line. The only downside is the small room size and lack of room amenities but I think all the other features offset this.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Hyatt Place, and I must warn others about their subpar service and exorbitant prices. The staff's attitude and professionalism were lacking, which set a negative tone for my stay. The rooms were surprisingly small, and the amenities did not justify the 5-star prices. What's more alarming is the hotel's policy of charging $15 for the bottled water in the room without clear notification or pricing. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. In hindsight, I regret booking this hotel and would advise others to explore better options closer to Times Square. With so many excellent hotels in the area, it's best to avoid this overpriced and underwhelming experience.

I loved my experience staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel In NYC! 😭 We met the best manager of all, Vincent, who took great care of us. He entertained us with his charismatic jokes and specially accommodated us with a very late check out at 3pm. So super friendly by going the extra mile to ensure that we had a great stay 🥹 We loved talking to him (and actually miss him a lot). The staff are also helpful and attentive, making sure all our queries are well answered. We did not face any hassle or trouble when staying with this hotel. And they are one of the few hotels that provide FREE BREAKFAST! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ LOVE HYATT PLACE 😘😘😘😘😘😘
