Regarding the hotel - it’s cosy, we had a 3 year old and the two big beds were plenty for us. The bathroom simple and clean, a single wardrobe and desk area plus tv and wifi. I found the fridge and cupboard really useful for my son’s snacks. Breakfast is 6-10 which is a good time for us, it follows a similar theme each day but we tended to have breaky at the hotel every other morning and then a nearby diner for others. On arrival we were given a good bag of snacks and water, there’s usually always a cake or cookie in reception each day too and a constant coffee / tea making stand downstairs too (free). It’s not far from 42nd street / time square so we could get everywhere we wanted to by subway - if you’re travelling with a pram, get to 42nd by the bus terminal as there’s elevators. WiFi was always available too. A gorgeous pizza restaurant nearby is Capizzi. We went on our last trip and this trip. Love it. We stayed here 2019 for my husbands 30th, and then this week for my own 30th. Back then, they went to the trouble of getting him balloons and a Teddy to celebrate. I hadn’t even messaged, they just noticed in conversation it was his birthday. This time, my husband did drop them a message as he wanted to make sure I got the same - well, they got me a whole cake!! Like a proper cake, balloons, rose petals, even little pretend candles.

Mar 23, 2025 · Shannon RaffertyI recently stayed here and my overall experience was okay. The room itself was pretty nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and made for a good night’s sleep, and the bathroom was decent with basic toiletries provided. However, the view wasn’t anything special, so don’t expect much in that regard. One of the biggest letdowns was breakfast. It was disappointing and not worth looking forward to. On top of that, the elevator situation was frustrating…you had to stop at nearly every floor to pick someone up, making it feel overcrowded and slow. Some of the ice makers on certain floors also weren’t working, which was inconvenient. That being said, the location was a plus. It was convenient and made getting around easy. If you’re looking for a place with a great location and a comfortable bed, this works.
Mar 01, 2025 · Lashawn AdderleyHad no issues with the lifts after reading previous reviews. We stayed on floor 11 no views but we kept the curtains closed anyhow. Lovely king-size beds linen changed everyday. Fridge coffee machine hair dryer iron a ironing board. Hand creams liquid soaps shampoo & conditioner all provided. Shower cubicle was a bit tight but you will manage ok. Nice decor 👌 all you need really. Breakfast changed daily typical breakfast consists of.... Bagels, waffles, toast, porridge, cereal , scrambled eggs, bacon , fruit apples oranges bananas. Yogurts and hard boiled eggs. We enjoyed our stay here very much
Mar 17, 2025 · Stevie VeversNot a good area, particularly if travelling alone. Older hotel in shabby condition and needs to be updated. Not well built. The side of the building is exposed as the adjoining lot is vacant. 35 floors with only 2 older lifts. Very basic breakfast not much choice but waffles are good. However, found the staff friendly and helpful. The shampoo and conditioner in the bedroom had nothing in them as has not been refilled . Small rooms , need to be updated, beds ok. If there was an emergency it definitely wouldn't be safe staying in this hotel. If you are older highly recommend you staying on lower floor. Was pleased to check out.
Feb 01, 2025 · Helen SharrattThe only thing nice about this hotel is that the beds were comfy and they give you 4 pillows instead of 3 like many hotels these days. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls, our bathroom was dirty with hair and dust, limited space in the room (we had 3 people all with a suitcase and backpack), showers are small (i am on the smaller side and thought it was tight), water/ice machine doesn’t work on every floor so we ended up just buying gallons of water at the 7/11 down the street, 2 elevators for the whole hotel with a tight waiting area on the first floor, the street it is located on is pretty sketchy especially walking back at night (it is well lit but compared to other streets in the city it doesn’t have the best safety feel to it), hotel staff was friendly when we interacted with them. It is nicely convenient to many lines for the subway.
