DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West

Hotel is nice and in a good location but operations and service can be improved. I tried to do an early check in at 1130am and was told no rooms were ready and had to wait 2-3 hours. As I waited in the lobby I was approached by a sales rep and I purchased a vacation package, then I asked if a room would be ready soon as I saw people actively checking out and she told me she would check but never came back. Then the room I originally wanted on the 27th was given to someone else and I was placed on the 24th floor. Additionally I did not receive water as a diamond member. These obviously aren’t serious issues but as a loyal diamond member for years and someone who just bought a vacation package from them I expected better treatment.

A busy hotel in central NY in a great central location. Rooms are quite small but had everything we needed including hairdryer, iron & ironing board, TV We were welcomed on our arrival with warm chocolate chip cookies which was lovely. The concierge Carlos made the hotel he was knowledgeable, friendly and took time out to speak to lots of guests. He gave us great tips on where to eat, which subway to take and also the order we should visit attractions to get the most out of our day Rooms were comfortable we were on the 27th floor so no street noise and also a stunning view of the city. Lifts were a bit slow which was really the only negative The rooftop bar was very quiet it was open but only the inside, the outside area was closed due to it being February and absolutely freezing whilst we were there. Would recommend

Ive booked there for 2 nights and my flight got delayed due to which I wasn’t able to check in on the first day, wasn’t able to contact them as no one answered. When in the afternoon I reached there to check in, they said now you’ve to wait until standard checkin time of 3 PM as no room is available, meaning they’ve offered my room to someone else without notifying me. There should be a proper notification in place for this as I paid in advance for 2 days and still I waited there to check in. Hotel is 11 minutes walk to Times Square but the street in particular seems shady, be careful in late evening. Rooms were good and I got a good view but washroom was too small, literally you will feel like a portable one. They hold luggage which is good, in case you reach early, just drop the luggage and walk out to explore the city. Rooftop lounge is good and with spectacular view

Fairly surprised to see this ranked as a four star hotel in NYC. While the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was lovely and of course it’s in the greatest location, the elevators were a total nightmare taking 10 minutes sometimes to arrive. Also, we could hear every single person closing their hotel doors nearby on the floor all night and as people got off the elevator, we could also hear them talking. Thin walls. Could barely sleep.

First off this place is in a great location little hard to find because they have the little plastic door. But the GPS was pretty correct. Carlos was outstanding he helped us always go to the right place. He made sure that he always greeted us with a smile and that was great to see. The staff was outstanding during check-in, which was surprising because it was really busy and overwhelming and they did handle it the best that they could and I’m glad that they took the time to let me have a good birthday Let’s talk about the Rooms. I really think you should invest in getting new beds. The beds feel like they have been there since the hotel opened you lay down, and you basically are laying on the platform when people are walking in the city and having a hell of a time, tired when they come back always a good bed is something good to lay in other than that we had a great time, but I would definitely check into a new 🆕 mattresses!! And the rooftop bar was awesome. Definitely have to check that out, but they should have the hotel elevators working properly so you don’t have to walk the stairs.
