Candlewood Suites New York City- Times Square by IHG

We stayed 6 days at the hotel and it has basically everything you need. The bed is very comfy with soft sheets and 2 different types of pillows (i am even going to look for these kind of sheets when I am at home) furthermore the room is equipped with a kitchen which comes in handy when you want to quickly prepare something. Even a small bottle of dishwashing soap is provided. The free coffee ☕️ at the lobby is a big plus and a great service of the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious for NY, they can be updated a bit but this did not bother me. The water gets hot extremely fast which is also a plus for me. All the staff is welcoming and friendly. The location and view from the room was great as well.

If you stay here, know that there is no housekeeping available if you stay less than seven nights. We stayed for five nights and it would have been nice for at least a day or two of fresh towels and a made bed. I wasn’t aware of this before booking. The facility is not locked throughout the day but is locked during the night. The elevator is never locked. You do not need a key to access it, which seems a bit concerning when it comes to guest safety. The facilities were very clean, which was very appreciated. The front desk workers were pretty helpful even though they gave us a non working key at first. The location was ideal for a lot of centralized activities. This hotel also has a really awesome texting feature. We had great communication from staff. You can be eligible for late checkout if you are an IHG rewards member. They also hold your bags in the lobby if you need to check out before you are ready to travel to the airport. Overall, it wasn’t a negative experience but the lack of housekeeping and absence of a locked front door/elevator docked a few stars for me. It was a great price, so you will get what you paid for. With that in mind, it’s a pretty decent budget hotel.

Comfortable, great location, good value for your money. We stayed for 4 nights. Our bathroom vent stopped working on day 1. I called on day 2 and asked to fix it. A technician came in day 3 after I called two more times and said it would be replaced the next day, but at that point I didn't bother as it was the last day. Nice place but they need to do better with maintenance.

This is a great place to stay when visiting NYC. The location is ideal and gives you easy access to multiple tourist locations as it is located in the heart of Times Square. Travelled with family and loved every bit of my 4 days stay here. Rooms are well kept and the kitchenette is well equipped. Additionally, there is tea and coffee available near the lobby at all times. The staff is dedicated and very professional. Special shout out to Eduardo who was always there to help with a smile. Exceptional professionalism and efficiency demonstrated by Eduardo in addressing the needs of the guests. Thank you Eduardo. I will definitely come back on my next visit to NYC.

Front desk was amazing. They gave us water and chips as welcoming gift. Very down to earth staff and easy to talk to. Location was close to Times Square and so many other tourist attractions. Room and shower was top notch. The kitchen had everything! Not the greatest view from our room but we didn’t care as we were out exploring the whole time. Clean hallways and building overall. Very quiet and safe.
