UPDATE 13.MAY.2025: Checking out today after 6 nights, and the upshot is this: the front desk team, the team managing the breakfast buffet, the general maintenance staff are all really friendly and eager to help. That front desk team member I first mentioned? Well, either we were just tired after our red eye or that person was just in a bad moment. All good for the rest of our stay! VERY comfortable bed! If only there was a way to block the light from that exposed bathroom sink! Nice shower with good water pressure and settings after a day of walking everyday. The hotel location is super; very pleasant harbour walks and within very easy walking distance to downtown Boston, transit, etc. The one criticism remains the hotel's housekeeping team and quality, as noted in my original comments below. Two additional services (every second day service provided, which is actually very practical) during our stay simply validated this because really clean was not the end result. Having worked in the industry, including managing a housekeeping department, I'm aware of time constraints and the limitations placed on housekeeping teams, but excusing oversight of basic "first impression clean" isn't OK. On one of those days, there seemed to be evidence of some disorganization and/or a breakdown in communication about which rooms were to be "cleaned" that day. Overall though, YES...yes, I would certainly recommend staying here and, hoping the hotel management team will not hold this review against me, we hope to be back too. 😀 MAY.08.2025: This is a tough review to share because I try to be positive with initial impressions at hotels. Our reception by Marvin was super! Very welcoming and genuinely friendly, Marvin was accommodating with our unexpected early arrival. Interactions with other front desk staff in the couple of days since have been pleasant, though there's a member of the team who may want to smile, we think. Our room: very nice space, comfortable bed, functional kitchen...BUT, it really wasn't cleaned well. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, left by the previous guests; the tiled area of the floors felt gritty (which we took care of with a wet towel wipe), and my wife and I both dust wiped surface areas around the room. We chose to do this rather than create an issue via the front desk or housekeeping. The hotel was recently renovated, and it shows in that the room hasn't taken on that grungy feel that creeps in over time, especially in the shower area. A comment for the interior designer that the decision to have the "bathroom" sink outside the bathroom, and as more a part of the bedroom, is ridiculous! It creates a situation where using the bathroom during the night inevitably disturbs the other person when one isn't traveling alone (see pic attached). The breakfast buffet is good and the team working it are very friendly. Good workout room and nice small pool too. Still have a few nights here so I may post an update.

May 20, 2025 · AV smile4lifeThe hotel staff was great, we arrived in town early and stopped to use the bathroom but they let us check in very early. The room was very clean. Good view of the harbor. Easy to walk into parts of town. But... There's no art or anything on the walls. Nothing. HANG SOME ART!
May 15, 2025 · Kris HowesOur stay at this Residence Inn was top notch. From the moment we drove up, we felt like we were wanted customers and that our comfort was valued. The room and the lobby were spotless, as was the lobby bathroom and pool area. The breakfast was better than most Marriott’s and the out door marina area was BEAUTIFUL on a balmy March day. The harbor view and walk was really the selling point, aside from the proximity to the Garden, and we can’t wait to come back soon.
Apr 08, 2025 · Joanna Wilson Phillips, NBC-HWCThe hotel and rooms are lovely and updated (the location was perfect for the things we wanted to see). They have an indoor pool, breakfast is included and valet parking is convenient ($55 a day). Lisa checked us in and she was friendly and amazing! I got a bit lost trying to find the parking area and when I called the hotel for assistance, she was helpful, understanding and kind (Thank you Lisa!). Lisa provided us with a list of local eateries and a sightseeing map which was great! We stayed in room 707, the room is the perfect size for us, the view from the windows faces the highway/the TD Garden (which is fine, since we don’t plan to be in the hotel much anyway). I’m so glad we chose this hotel!
Feb 19, 2025 · Jana BromellMy daughters and I were finally able to stay here this past weekend. While only a gold member, I was upgraded to a lovely harbor view room. It met our high expectations. From the courtesy of the front desk staff to Luis’ kindness and assistance with trays (and some cookies added as a surprise) at breakfast, we felt this ranked on the more luxurious end of Residence Inns in the US. The bedroom had a comfortable king size bed and the sleep sofa gave a good night’s sleep as well. The full kitchen was fantastic as the weather was brutally cold so we bought dinner early and were able to heat it up in the kitchen. Parking is expensive here and everywhere in the city. $50/night with in/out privileges. If planning to stay put once parked, use SpotHero and pay $26-$30 for the lot next door overnight or a city garage about a 5 min walk away. The pool is compact but it’s the city and a rare treat to find anywhere in Boston. The area was clean and amply supplied with towels. The water temperature was okay - we got in after a few minutes and enjoyed the swim. Overall: it’s a beautiful home away from home with breathtaking city and harbor views. Highly recommend!
