We’ve staying in probably hundreds of hotels across the world and this experience was…odd. Our credit card had to be rung up separately (?) for hotel charge and then the “hold.” Sure, lots of hotels have a card “hold,” but this seemed sort of high for such a low-Star hotel. We pulled into the driveway circle area to be greeted by some sort of screaming match/fight between guests outside. Might have been related to a car accident. A crowd had gathered. Things just seemed…sketchy. We were waiting for members of our group to arrive and were stared down with suspicion just for waiting on the little lobby couch. I got the feeling they’re used to having problems with guests, so we were treated with suspicion. Don’t get me wrong - I expect cheap to go hand in hand with sketchy. The hotel was cheap. It was a place to sleep. I can’t complain too much about that. Wouldn’t be my first choice, though.

Jun 10, 2025 · Michelle GulloThe room was on the smaller side, but not too bad overall. However, the sofa in the room had visible stains and was too dirty to sit on. If it’s not going to be maintained properly, it would be better to just remove it and make the room feel more spacious. The dining area was cramped and overcrowded in the mornings. There weren’t enough seats, and since it wasn’t a buffet, everyone had to wait in line at the counter. I ended up leaving out of frustration without eating. Although breakfast is included, it’s really a matter of luck if you actually get to eat anything. During my 4-day stay, I didn’t get to have breakfast even once. When younger guests are around, the atmosphere feels more like a dorm than a hotel—noisy and chaotic. After using the pool, they are walked around soaking wet, leaving the elevator floor drenched with water. I will not be staying here again.
May 02, 2025 · Min PWhere to start? The overwhelming smell of pot, the lack of attention to the facilities, the absence of cleaning staff to empty trash, freshen bedding, or replace a towel... one of if not the worst hotels I have stayed in. Its quite clear management is looking to cut corners. Dated and worn interior, broken and dirty accommodations, all the way down to the cleaning staff stuffed 2 facial tissues in the box so it looked like there were tissues. Look I realize this place just isn't my cup of tea and others might like it. If you like to do your best Willie Nelson impression and hot box your room this is your place. No worries of spilling the bong water on the carpet. Hell if you are cheap as the management no need to bring your own. You can just get high in an adjacent room.
Jun 12, 2025 · Matt DavisUgh, where do I even begin with this disastrous experience at the Sonesta? If you're looking for a hotel where the management treats you with utter disdain and couldn't care less about your well-being, then congratulations, you've found it! My mother's stay here was nothing short of appalling. She initially requested a different room, a simple request you'd think, but the staff flat-out refused. No explanation, no attempt to accommodate – just a cold, hard "no." Things went from bad to worse when my mother unfortunately fell ill and had to check out early. Naturally, I contacted Expedia to inquire about a refund for the remaining two nights. According to Expedia's policy, they needed approval from the hotel management. What followed was a ridiculous runaround. The Sonesta management denied the refund, and when I was on the phone with an Expedia representative trying to understand their reasoning, the hotel staff actually hung up on us! Can you believe that? The sheer rudeness and lack of professionalism are astounding. This isn't just about the money; it's about the complete disregard for a guest's comfort and well-being. The management staff at this Sonesta are not only unhelpful but actively hostile. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. This place is an absolute nightmare.
Apr 27, 2025 · Jarrett Bates -BagleyAlways smells like weed. Pieces of glass outside door were there the 5 days we were there. Outside, in the halls, on the porch, all you smelled was weed. Get to breakfast 10 minutes before it was to close because it was put away. Choose was 2 cereals, muffin, banana, oranges, white toast or bagels, juice, coffee, and tea. Order off the menu, but it wasn't that good. There is no 24-hour coffee or tea. The hot tub was hot, and the pool was cloudy and cold. Kids out playing football after 1am. Had they come, service refrigerator because froze all our drinks, food, and bait. Still froze everything. The sliding door had to be cleaned. Tub was clogged and had a hair ball in the drain. Bed was comfortable. Mirrors were dirty.
