Whatever happens here, it’s all your responsibility. TL;DR: We recommend going to different hotel than Starlight hotel. Pros: 1. relatively clean bed 2. Location Cons: 1. Very thin wall 2. Pin pad key system 3. Bad customer service (Chinese man in the front desk was very mean) Full context: We booked 3 nights at this hotel through Agoda.com. Since we weren’t familiar with this part of town, we wanted to spend a bit more for safety, but still keep enough of our budget for enjoying the trip — like trying good food and sightseeing. The first night was fine since we were exhausted and just slept through it. But the second night was a nightmare. Between 1 AM and 3 AM, we kept hearing loud, disturbing noises from a neighbor. It was constant and hard to ignore, especially because it sounded like a woman moaning non-stop. We were annoyed, but things got much worse. Out of nowhere, someone started banging on our door and yelling, “NYPD! Open up!” They even tried to punch in a code on our door’s pin pad. The system kept saying “authentication failed” “authentication failed” “authentication failed” over and over. We were wide awake, terrified, and had no idea what to do — there was nowhere to hide or escape. After what felt like forever, the person finally gave up and left, but by then, we were too scared to stay another night. We explained everything to the front desk, but the Chinese man working there completely ignored our concerns. He wasn’t empathetic at all, just kept repeating, “I cannot refund” like a robot. We ended up leaving and booking a room at The Parc Hotel instead. The Parc was way more professional, safe, and well-run. We have no connection to The Parc, but honestly, we highly recommend staying there instead of this place(because it’s basically same location but better and safer)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a starlight hotel,and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.From the moment I arrived the staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive , making me feel right at home. The room was immaculate, spacious,and elegantly designed, offering all the amenities I could possibly need. One of the highlights is the rooftop. The attention to detail and level of service provided were simply outstanding. This will be my home every time I am in New York.

Bring your own everything; sheets, towels, pillows, etc. Front desk was super unwelcoming and even accused us of stealing their cheap towels on the way out. A $100 cash deposit is required which they'll expect you to use their ATM with fees. There's zero parking for this hotel at all and the AC in the room doesn't get cold. Definitely a negative experience. Never again.

I stayed at this hotel last December with my friends and we had a really pleasant experience. The location is fantastic—it's conveniently situated near key attractions and transportation options, making it easy to explore the area. The service was excellent as well; the staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any request. I was also impressed by the parking situation. It's very easy to access, which made my stay even more stress-free. Overall, a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it!

my boyfriend and I stayed here for valentine’s day this year. the room was clean, cozy, and left nothing to be desired! the rooftop is beautiful, highly recommend the views at night! the staff was friendly from check in to check out. we had a lovely stay and are looking forward to returning, thank you!!
