We could not have had a better experience. A fabulous place to stay as a patient or a visitor to the local hospitals. Parking in the basement lot is fantastic. You never have to leave the building. I had knee replacement surgery, and staying at the hotel the night before was perfect.

Dec 12, 2024 · Bruce CalvertOverall a great place to stay! My daughter had surgery at MSK on Jan 28, 2025 and lives in the Hudson Valley and I live in Ca and was flying over to be with her. The hotel was very accommodating when I asked if she could check in at 3 before me as I would not arrive til 7:30 pm on the 27th. It was in my name so we added hers to the reservation and that fixed it. It was clean (and cleaned daily!) and the fully stocked kitchen was a big plus. The rates are discounted for patients and families having surgeries in the area hospitals and they don’t charge tax being a nonprofit so the rate is the rate without all the other fees you can have added at other hotels. The main reason I chose Helmsley Medical Tower was its proximity to MSK - 1 block away and on the same street. If they could improve on 1 thing, id say they could replace some of the blankets they used on the beds. (Old and worn) Also, they do not use spreads or comforters over the sheets and blankets so be prepared to have a bed with just sheets and blankets. Apparently upon my inquiry, its a “hospital” thing and to prevent people with allergies from having reactions. Shout out to the front desk who fixed my billing very quickly on check out as I had put it on 2 cards and there was a mix up overnight with the auditor. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

We are extremely grateful for the kind,helpful and efficient staff at HMT. We couldn't be any happier. The location is very convenient, of course, and is also near to restaurants, and a good bodega on Seventy-Second.
