The hotel's design thoughtfully incorporates its historical roots while providing modern amenities. Guest rooms feature an "Old World meets modern" decor, with sturdy dark wood furniture, often blue carpets, and beds adorned with red pillows. Reviewers consistently praise the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort of the beds, with many noting the ample space, especially in the queen suites. The "courtyard view" from some rooms is described as spectacular, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance. While the decor is generally consistent with a modern chain hotel, the subtle touches provide a distinct character.
The Courtyard Boston Copley Square offers a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance guest stays. The front desk operates 24/7, with multilingual staff ready to assist with check-in, check-out (including express options), luggage storage, and tour/ticket information. Guests frequently commend the helpful and friendly staff, with specific shout-outs to individuals like Jean at the front desk for their kindness and assistance.

Housekeeping is available upon request, allowing guests flexibility during their stay.
For dining, the hotel features Table 88 Bistro, an on-site restaurant primarily open for breakfast, serving Starbucks coffee. While the hotel’s internal dining options are described as modest, with just a micro-Starbucks and a snack bar/deli, its prime location ensures that guests have a plethora of choices nearby. One of the distinctive features of the Courtyard Boston Copley Square is its commitment to sustainability. As a Marriott property, it adheres to corporate social responsibility policies, incorporating water-efficient fixtures, energy-efficient appliances, and "smart-room technologies" that conserve energy when rooms are unoccupied. This eco-friendly approach contributes to a more responsible travel experience.
The hotel's historical interpretation, "88 Exeter, the Dream Continues," acknowledges its past as a turn-of-the-century hotel, evolving into a contemporary, upbeat establishment. This blend of old and new offers a unique character that sets it apart from more generic chain hotels. The staff's dedication to service, as highlighted by numerous guest reviews, is another strong feature. The personalized assistance, such as that provided by Jean at the front desk, ensures a warm and welcoming experience for visitors.
Parking is available at the hotel, although it comes with a fee, typical for downtown Boston. Guests have options for self-parking or covered valet parking, with in/out privileges for valet service. An electric car charging station is also available on-site, catering to modern travelers.
While specific seasonal promotions were not detailed, the hotel's appeal often lies in its consistent quality and prime location. Guests frequently emphasize the hotel's value for money given its central position and array of amenities. For instance, the availability of free cribs and children staying free (up to 10 children aged 12 and under when using existing bedding) makes it an attractive option for families. The flexibility of late check-out options, when available, is also a noted convenience.
Past guest experiences consistently laud the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the exceptional service from the staff. Many reviews echo the sentiment of a "wonderful stay," praising the spaciousness of suites and the spectacular courtyard views. The ease of access to the adjacent parking garage and the proximity to the Back Bay station are also frequently mentioned positives. The main feedback regarding dining points to the abundance of external options, implying that guests should plan to explore the vibrant neighborhood for their meals beyond breakfast.

Its excellent location, comfortable and well-appointed rooms, and dedicated staff make it a highly recommended choice for both short getaways and extended stays. The blend of historical character with modern conveniences ensures a memorable and enjoyable visit to Boston.
