I enjoyed my time here with Element. The breakfast is really good, clean spacious rooms and great hospitality. I Like that the rooms have hard surface floors and not carpet higher standard for cleanliness. Bathrooms are upgraded and tons more room than some other places we have stayed here. One out of three elevators is being renovated so prepare or plan for those time adjustments. I’d recommend them! Would definitely stay here again.

Mar 18, 2025 · Amy HNice place. Picked it for the fridge. Has a kitchenette that hasn’t used but seems simple enough for a quick meal maker. Stood in a city view room and it was nice to see building from Hudson Yards and Empire building. Elevators do have a wait time during rush hours, could be 7 minutes at times. Quiet at night and just minutes from the train station that can go anywhere.
Mar 27, 2025 · Jose MThis has been a truly awful hotel experience from start to finish. The staff were unbelievably rude—when my partner and I patiently waited in line at the front desk, the employee assisting us didn’t even acknowledge my partner, claiming he was “busy on the computer.” No roof access, despite what we were led to believe. We were told we could use the laundry, but when we actually needed it? Surprise! It was closed. The elevators were an absolute nightmare—only three for a massive 40-floor building, and one was out of service. Waiting over 10 minutes for an elevator was the norm. To top it all off, I was kicked off one for absolutely no reason, right when I urgently needed to use the restroom. And of course, the ones downstairs? Out of order. An overall miserable stay—I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Mar 21, 2025 · cameron mcnuttTLDR: Don’t book this hotel, there are much better options for $20 more. One of the worst hotels I ever booked. First of all, no hot water in my bedroom. The faucet was falling apart, cracks on the wall, very noisy HVAC. I had to wait 20 minutes to get the elevator to check out. They stored my luggage for me, but I couldn’t use the restroom because it was out of service. It was a real nightmare. The only reason I’m not giving a 1 star is because the staff is mostly friendly, but the manager who was rude when I asked for an alternative for the restroom, he told me to go to the next door restaurant
Mar 22, 2025 · Maurício AckermannHad a great experience at the Element New York. The location is very convenient to see and experience many places. We stayed on the 35th floor so we had no issues with the noise. The complementary breakfast in the morning was great for a hotel offering many options and even switched it up through the week. We also loved the extra treat we received during happy hour. 2 out of the 3 elevators worked at the time of our stay so it made waiting a lot longer then usual. The staff was super nice and it was super easy to check in and out. They even kept our bags locked up for us until we had to catch our train.
