Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Manhattan/Financial District

I had a very disappointing experience with this management. I booked a room and received a confirmation before my flight. However, when I arrived at midnight, I discovered that my room had been canceled without my knowledge. I spent hours trying to find another hotel. The guy at the reception made calls to various places, but all the other hotels were fully booked by that time. Finally, I found a room at another Inn, which was very nice and well-managed. I won’t trust them again. If you’re booking with them, be cautious about arriving late due to your flight. They may give your room to someone else and claim that your credit card was declined!

We had been really satisfied. The location is very good and convenient, less then 10 mins walking from the nearest subway st. (Fulton and Wall St). Beds were very comfy. Our twin room was a bit small. Staff has been very helpful and kind (front office, kitchen, housekeeping and porters). We loved the buffet breakfast included in our stay option. And the amenity coffee in the lobby is such a great idea!!!

Amazing location, the room is very comfortable and clean, constant housekeeping. There’s coffee available at all times. Also, they allow early check-in if there are rooms available which is great if you arrive too early. I think the only downside is that the breakfast room is pretty small. But again, it’s a budget friendly hotel so it’s perfect!

Overall, a solid 3-star experience. We stayed for 5 nights in winter 2024 in a king-bed room on the 11th floor. The room was much smaller than the pictures suggested, and it seemed like the king-size bed might not have originally been intended for the space. However, the bed itself was comfortable. The view from the window was not great, as it overlooked the wall of another building. The hotel has only two small elevators, which are shared by both guests and staff. This led to frequent waits, especially during busy times, and we often ended up taking the stairs to avoid the wait. Weekdays were a bit noisy, with construction on the street outside starting around 7 a.m.. Weekends were generally quiet. Breakfast was a nice perk. While some other reviews that mentioned breakfast were critical, I thought it was perfectly fine for a US hotel in a major city—certainly better than some other places I’ve stayed. The location is excellent, especially if you’re planning to visit iconic NYC attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Governor’s Island, and Wall Street.

The room was beautiful but far too small for two people to feel comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, but the space was too limited to accommodate all the hotel guests, leading to overcrowding. To make matters worse, only one elevator was functioning during our stay. We waited nearly 20 minutes with a long queue of frustrated guests in the lobby before I decided to take the stairs—27 floors up! For the price charged, the experience was disappointing and not worth it. I wouldn’t stay here again.
