Great stay. ANTONIO help made my stay pleasant. His customer service was exceptional and exceeding my expectations. The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to many restaurants, train stations, and the ferry. It was clean and very quiet. There's not much space to move about in the room, but if you're like me, use the room to sleep, then it's fine. I only gave a 4 star because it didn't come with microwave, fridge and the ice machine was out. If they could have at least had an area to warm your food, that would have been great. We were told they have a restaurant inside. However, it wasn't open, so for breakfast, they created a mini coffee, tea, and muffin bar, but it was located in the lobby amongst guest trying to check out. Other then that the hotel was a great choice. Will recommend and return

We had a great stay here! It’s in the perfect location, super close to the subway. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. I really don’t understand the negative reviews; we would absolutely stay here again. Is the room brand new? No, but it’s clean, good-sized for NYC, has everything you need, super comfortable pillows, and very kind staff. There are so many great restaurants nearby! Highly recommend Zucker’s, Joe’s Pizza, and Xi’an Famous Food for spicy Chinese noodles.

Surprised by some of the poor reviews! Our room was a great size, clean with an iron, coffee machine, and good toiletries. Great location but the best thing was the staff especially the young gentleman at the reception and the lady (I think called Natalie?!). Free continental breakfast in the morning, and some snacks in the afternoon (cookies, popcorn, crisps etc). About 5 minutes walk to at least three subway stations and tons of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Definitely exceeded expectations. They do charge a $17 a night destination tax fee though.

Would definitely stay here again. I had a lovely shower/bath option, a working heater (I was here in March) and cooler options when wanted. They're in the middle of renovating their kitchen but the breakfast 'Grab and Go' options gave me a boost before I sorted alternatives but this is a minor thing. House keeping were always checking if I needed towels or anything which was awesome, I loved the Dove selection in the bathroom. Definate highlight of my stay was Antonio as my journey from the airport was rough due to my network provider for my mobile letting me down. So I was highly strung and tired and wiping tears, but Antonio welcomed me to the Holiday Inn in a professional yet empathetic manner, he is a credit to the company. All the staff I encountered helped me in someway, so I am very grateful to all.

The room was fine for my purposes. I liked the shower. The staff was courteous. They ran out of coffee packets the fifth day of my eight day stay. The restaurant is being remodeled so the staff supplied free breakfast(bagels, mini muffins, yogurt, coffee, tea, apples, granola bars) 7-9 am. Easy subway access. Neighborhood felt safe. Really nice French restaurant around the corner. Good pizza places close by. 2 shoe repair and a quality watch repair place very close! Only in NYC.
