Mar 27, 2025 路 Graham BowmanWe had a great experience at the hotel - most importantly the most comfy bed for a great night's sleep after a long day of walking. The location was fantastic- so many transport options but also places like Tribeca or Battery walk within enjoyable walking distance. We also enjoyed the happy hour at the bar but recommend booking.
Mar 23, 2025 路 Jessica NivenI just checked out this morning from my one-night stay at the Artezen Hotel on John St. in New York City.....and it was an awful experience. I was in Room 202 which is on the 2nd floor just above the main entrance awning and overlooking John St. While the room itself is generally fine (except for bathroom sink that didn't drain well and smoke detector was blinking all night), the problem is that this room is too close to the street and you hear EVERYTHING....horns honking, heavy machinery due to construction, people walking on the sidewalks, etc. at various times throughout the evening. And it's not just normal people having conversations. There were some very loud screaming voices and verbal threats all throughout the night from various unsavory characters out on the street. I'll just leave it at that. I could not get a proper night of sleep. The noise got so bad that my son and I got woken up around 2:15am and we could not get back down to sleep until around 5:00am. Totally ruined our day as we are exhausted from the lack of sleep. I have stayed at the Artezen before and had a more pleasant experience. I don't have anything negative comments about the hotel per se but would not recommend a room on any of the lower floors facing John St., especially Room 202. The hotel should really consider further soundproofing measures for some of the lower rooms that are facing John St. There are many new hotels that have opened up in the neighborhood so will consider other options in the future if necessary to ensure that I don't have to endure a similar experience again. No one at the front desk bothered to ask about my stay when I checked out so I felt compelled to post this review to provide some insight to anyone considering staying at the Artezen.
Mar 21, 2025 路 Karl LeeAn amazing hotel that offers excellent value for money! The staff is incredibly professional and welcoming, especially at the concierge and reception. The location is fantastic, with an excellent Thai restaurant next door and Joe's Pizza just around the corner. The room was spotless, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We鈥檒l definitely be back!
Mar 07, 2025 路 Rui RodriguesStaying in NYC as a solo traveller, the hotel is a very important consideration for me. Following recommendations and good reviews on-line, I stayed at The Artezen Hotel in the Financial District for five nights this month. Perfectly placed for subways, restaurants, shops and various tourist attractions, this was the perfect hotel for me. A decent sized room, spotlessly clean, equipped bathroom and a very comfy bed. The hotel was safe and staff were helpful. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in lower Manhattan and within walking distance of the Brooklyn Bridge, Oculus, Ground Zero and South Street Seaport.
