I stayed at The Beekman for two nights and was really impressed by this hotel. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful, getting us situated quickly during our late check in of 1AM. The hotel itself is beautiful in architecture, and is really well maintained. The vibe feels very classic, but with a slight modern twist. We booked the standard king room which is the lowest level of room category, but it is miles ahead of other hotel rooms in the area. The decor is really well thought out, the minibar is stocked with great products and the little offerings like an in-room bottle opener really make the experience better. For a small room, the bathroom is quite large and the shower is luxurious. The ventilation and temperature control is also so much better than other hotels I’ve stayed at. The hotel bar is also an amazing spot for cocktails. The drinks are delicious and well crafted, and the service is really outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and the whole staff seemed eager to help even if you weren’t their assigned table. The seating is also super comfortable. Overall, this was a great experience and I will definitely be back when I’m staying in this neighborhood.

Had a fantastic stay at The Beekman. I was able to get into my room early and enjoyed a late check-out, which made the whole experience feel extra relaxed. The amenity was thoughtful and beautifully done. I’ve always admired the original Martin Brudnizki design—timeless and layered—and it’s even better in person. The team was warm and professional throughout. My room was incredibly quiet, and I especially loved the bath amenities. A perfect NYC escape.

The Beekman is a beautiful hotel in a historic building and we had a wonderful weekend stay. We were upgraded to a one bedroom corner suite which was such a surprise. Chris at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The location is great for Downtown and it’s close to the subway. Also a good spot to walk around Chinatown and East Village to the north. As it is an old building, there are some quirks that may depend on your room. Our shower leaked horrendously and there was an odd rattle at odd times if we had the AC on. I really enjoyed the bathtub ☺️ Would stay again when we are in town!

My husband and I had been wanting an excuse to stay here for years. I had been following the renovation of the property for some time because as I photographer in NYC I had been within its crumbling walls and broken atrium multiple times on shoots. It always made me so sad that such a gorgeous building had been left to rot. Fast forward ten years and we decided to get married there. The restoration was done with the utmost detail and respect. The furnishings tell the story of its 100 plus years standing, with articles of furniture from multiple decades, alluding to its colorful and rich history. The atrium is absolutely stunning and worth a visit to see just that. The restaurant and bar below have amazing food and drinks, and highly recommend the bacon! Service was amazing and very helpful. Rooms super comfortable, artful and kooky, once again alluding to its colorful past. You’ll feel super special staying in such an old beautiful building that has a history steeped in NYC culture. We highly recommend it!!

I can't say I had the luxury of staying at this hotel to stay the night, but I did go here for a cocktail and an evening with friends. I must say as a native New Yorker, I was ashamed to not know that this beautiful building existed. My out-of-town friends had chosen this location. The art 🎨 in this building was beautiful. The 🍸 and food was excellent. I can't wait to have my own experience in staying at this beautiful Hotel.
