The staff service was average for a Hyatt chain hotel. We initially booked a two-week stay, but the room we were assigned was extremely small. And I dont think its too much to expect more spacious room as a hyatt globalist member. We did change room, but our initial impression was quite disappointing compared to other Hyatt hotels we've stayed in. The location has both advantages and disadvantages. It's convenient for those who want to be close to tourist attractions, but it can be a drawback for guests seeking a quiet ambiance. We experienced constant noise from passing police cars, sports car engines, and weekend parades.

Mar 26, 2025 · YKAmazing rooms, very spacious & huge beds. Central location in Times Square and very close to the subway. Hotel itself is very clean and modern. Service is fantastic, the cleaners are very friendly and went the extra mile during our stay. After long days out, our room would be replenished with complimentary bottles of water, fresh sheets and towels. Can’t fault this hotel, if you’re looking to book - do it!

I was not looking for spending a lot of my time sitting in a hotel lobby but expected to have lobby with some spaces and chairs where i can meet people and wait for my car from vallet and so on. Room size is bigger than NYC average and staffs were helpful but I am lowering my rate due to owner's response. ‐---‐-------------‐------------------ Rooms are clean and location is great. But, lobby was tiny and it has only 3 check in counters and not enough elevator.

Staff love to put you in the road facing rooms as the hotel is half empty and will relish in your sleepless experience. They do not care. Dead USB ports in the room, you better have your own to charge your devices. Towels smell of chlorine.
Mar 26, 2025 · J MYou know when you travel to NYC in December you're going to overpay, so we were prepared for that, but when you're paying 4x the standard rate for a room, you expect a lot more than what you get at the Hyatt Centric. The light switches were all on/off, meaning all of the lights in the room were on or off all at once, which was really frustrating to use. The lights in the bathroom were too dim and the bathroom night light wasn't working. The shower fixtures were in a state of disrepair. The toilet seat was worn out. The only amenities in the room were a few bottles of water and a coffee machine. That's fine for a cheap room in a motel, but at this price in a "4-star" hotel, guests deserve more. Parts of the hotel felt really dated, like the halls and room signage. They need a real room service option - breakfast in a bag at these prices? Get real. They don't offer lunch or dinner room service at all, and the attached market was painfully slow and only offers a bunch of reheated sandwiches - like a glorified 7-11. The staff was very friendly, and our room was clean and neat, but we wouldn't stay here again, even at off-season rates.
