The Chatwal - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

We decided to stay in the city after the theater, so we made reservations at the Chatwal. We were very impressed with the staff. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were treated extremely well. The room was well-appointed, large, and a good value (by NYC standards, anyway). We had dinner at the Lamb's Club. The food and ambiance were impressive, and the service was impeccable. We chose the two-course pre-theater menu and ordered the scallops and duck. Both were excellent, as was the plate presentation. We look forward to our return visit.

Can’t wait to go back! My family and I just had a fantastic extended weekend in New York City and a true highlight was this exceptional hotel, The Chatwal. The location is superb—just steps away from Times Square without being in the middle of it all. The moment we walked in we felt like we were in a little boutique hotel in Europe. The decor, attentiveness of the staff, and all the fine details were impeccable! Alfonzo, the concierge, was super knowledgeable and Michael, the doorman, was courteous and always helpful. Luisa at the front desk is the epitome of excellent service. She took care of all our requests and was a pleasure to interact with. We can’t wait to go back!

This is my second stay at this property and I will continue to return due to the top-notch service and super convenient location. The hotel is in the middle of everything being located in Times Square, but you wouldn’t know it from inside the hotel where it’s safe, quiet and calm. I love that it’s a smaller boutique hotel but still has all the amenities that come with larger properties minus the stress, crowds and long elevator wait-times! Everyone from the doormen, butlers, cleaning staff to front desk are super friendly and helpful…Shoutout to Michael and Peter who are always smiling and happy to help with packages as well as the heavy doors! And also to Leyla and Sebastian who are great at working the front desk - treating us like friends and eager to assist with anything. Sebastian even called me the day after I came home to check in on my family and I, wanting to make sure we arrived safe and sound after an incident at my local airport! I’m super impressed with the level of personal touch that is missing from most customer service nowadays.

Absolutely incredible stay at The Chatwal Hotel in NYC! From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with impeccable service and a warm welcome. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from the swift check-in process to the thoughtful touches throughout my stay. The room was stunning—luxuriously appointed with modern amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave in the morning! The bathroom felt like a private spa, with high-end products and plush towels. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Manhattan, making it easy to explore the city’s best attractions. The on-site restaurant served some of the best meals I’ve ever had in New York, and the cocktails at the bar were top-notch. I truly felt pampered from start to finish and would highly recommend The Chatwal to anyone looking for an unforgettable luxury experience in New York City. Five stars all the way!

Chatwal is a great hotel, amazing decor, and excellent example of how to achieve luxury in United States hospitality. I previously said nothing nationally can compare to Asian/Middle Eastern service culture. I may have been proven wrong here. From the start, Layla from Turkmenistan is an excellent example of how to greet and host. Her energy excited me for what was to follow. Staff overall must have 'got the memorandum' because it’s all executed to a tee. I unfortunately did not get to have their breakfast this time, as I had some outside things planned but I’m sure it’s as good as their dinner. I just cannot find many faults in this place. What hasn’t been said throughout these reviews? Side note; I think they should advertise that they are one of the only hotels in this area with a bidet attachment. There are some countries where this is a way of life!
