This is our second trip to Beverly in a few months. We really love this hotel, the location is so convenient to many things and is just a short drive to Gordon College where our oldest daughter will be attending in the fall. I think The Beverly will be our home away from home when taking our daughter to college and any subsequent visits over the next 4 years. Everything is always so clean, beds are super comfortable, spacious for our family of 4 and we love having the kitchenette available in the suite rooms.

Apr 08, 2025 · Roseanne FischerSpent a weekend at the Beverly House while visiting family in the area. Great location. We had the basement king studio. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great price! Walked to a couple of restaurants and also the train to go into Boston!
May 04, 2025 · Rebecca VargoNice space, great price, love the full kitchen. Miserable experience. First, I didn’t receive access code and it’s self check in. I’d booked through a third party and chalked that up to a communications breakdown with their vendor. Nova called me as I was pulling out of the parking lot to go find another hotel, and was able to get me checked in. Unfortunately, I came here for three days to escape my family and work uninterrupted…only to end up with the world’s worst WiFi 🤦♀️ Definitely defeated the purpose of me booking lol. EDIT: Came back to give 1 star. Last night here and the person above me is stomping around like a dancing rhino throwing a furniture rearranging party and it’s fking midnight. I can hear them with earplugs and noise cancelling headphones. Politely asked them to be quiet, and they were like “yeah we’re going to bed” and then tromped for another hour. When I’d contacted the property manager about this earlier in the day, they’d offered to move me down a room, but it’s still too close to the loud stompy man to have made a difference. I was just hoping he would have shut up by midnight.
Apr 24, 2025 · Chiara BurnsThe room that I had (a king suite) was fine: a small kitchenette with clean appliances and plenty of dishes, a nice bathroom, great bed (that bumped the room up from 2 stars, even with the static-y microfiber sheets), "luxury vinyl tile" flooring, a reasonable TV. Plenty of space, mirrors, etc. Nothing was fancy or luxurious, and a few dings here and there. The heat/AC controls were a bit confusing to figure out, but once I did they worked well. The TV functionality was annoying: it had a million and a half channels, but did not have PBS and there was no way to access it. I ended up watching my preferred news program via the streaming service we pay for at home, on my phone. The main *problems* with the hotel have to do with location, in a few ways, and with personnel. 1) the hotel is located in a less desirable part of Beverly, which isn't clear from the map. In general, the area where the hotel is located has a bit of a "seedy" feel; I didn't want to be out in the parking area getting stuff out of my car for longer than I needed, and I was double sure that my car was locked. The street where the hotel is located is a corner of a side street (Lakeview Avenue, which is listed as the hotel's address) and a very busy street (Enon Street). There is a liquor store directly across Enon St. which is open until 10pm, and a few restaurants, and a bunch of stores that were closed. I recommend doing a "street view", and then imagine how it might feel on a cold, dark night. 2) the room that I ended up with ended up being on the basement level, which is less ideal but workable in general; in this case it was even more "less ideal" because the hotel in general felt very deserted and the basement access more than any other part. One accesses the basement via a couple of narrow somewhat dark, unmonitored stairways and then an unlocked door to a hallway of rooms. The description of the room indicates that there are stairs and no elevator, and that the room is in the basement; but the details of how that feels late at night are impossible to fully convey even if they had tried. 3) Re: Personnel: there are none. Nobody. I never saw another soul until the morning when I saw one person scurrying around doing laundry. Everything is handled via phone and seemingly by computer (except occasionally?), which is both convenient and eerie, given how dark and quiet the hotel felt at night. In contrast, there was loud noise outside of my basement windows early in the morning. Hilariously (?!), the one time I got something that could have felt like personal outreach, the message arrived at 8:01pm -- which was 1 minute *after* the hours that the message itself indicated I could.call for any questions or requests. I replied via text and received no response to my messages. In short, although the room was nice, the price was pretty good, and the location fairly convenient for my needs, I think that in the future I will stay somewhere else if I need to stay in Beverly.
Apr 10, 2025 · mew junkWhen we checked in, there were multiple items broken in the room (TV, coffee maker, heater) so we contacted management to have them repaired. We were told they would be repaired that day, but they weren’t. We ended up contacting management every day of our four-day stay, and every day we were told the items would be repaired – but they never were. Housekeeping is non-existent, and the bathroom had mold in it.
