The staff was all very friendly and helpful, a big plus! The room was extremely clean and pleasant. The breakfast was very, very good. Small downsides: There were only very firm pillows. Also, it didn't make sense to put about six hangers on very short knobs, as the hangers tended to fall to the floor. The room might as well just have had the knobs to hang clothes on. We very much appreciated the availability of filtered water in the room, and for filling water bottles. Also, we very much appreciated that the Inn was taking sustainability measures, such as the water bottle filling station, having refillable shampoo and gel dispensers, and encouraging guests to reuse their towels. However, the Inn could be doing even more, such as cream in cream pitchers, instead of half 'n half in tiny plastic containers. Also, instead of covering the glasses in the bathroom with plastic, all of the glasses could be placed upside-down on the dresser. The shower was very pleasant, with adequate water and heat. One more suggestion: There could be a tea kettle available in the common room, as coffee makers do not work for tea drinkers, as the residue of the coffee flavors the tea. All in all, very pleasant and convenient lodging, with charm!

I stayed at the Curwen House, 1 of the 3 locations of the Salem Inn. Had a great stay. There is a spacious parking lot is located on the property which was perfect since myself and my partner drove to Salem. The home is well maintained, and the room was actually much larger than I expected. The room and bathroom were also very clean. The Curwen House was ideal for an all adult trip, very quiet and the location was perfect to tour the town, located 2-20 minutes of a walk away from most attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was included and though not available at the Curwen House it was only a few minutes worth of a walk around the corner to the main home on Summer Street, well worth it! The Breakfast Room was very cool, felt like going back in time for a colonial dining experience and the staff were extremely nice. The only thing that was not ideal about the stay was the wifi struggled to connect to some of our devices, but our phones connected fine. I would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend booking your next trip to Salem at the Salem Inn. The staff were so beyond friendly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and it was right within perfect walking distance of everything! My mom and I planned our trip for my birthday and mothers day, they decorated a cute little area with small gifts for the occasion. It was absolutely perfect and we will be back next year.

Our stay was phenomenal. Perfect location, nice clean and well appointed room. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was so attentive of my daughter who wasn't feeling the best. Though I will say that our room was definitely haunted and mysterious noises and banging occurred from 1-430am!
