I stayed here for a weekend getaway in New Orleans. Overall, it was a decent experience—nothing fancy, but it got the job done. Room & Comfort: The room was clean, modern, and spacious enough, with a comfy bed, mini-fridge, microwave, and a nice shower. However, rooms facing the street can be noisy—especially on weekend nights when nearby bars are active. I’d recommend requesting an interior or higher-floor room if you're a light sleeper. Location: The location is a big plus—just a short walk to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, the Superdome, and the convention center. There’s also a streetcar stop nearby which makes it easy to get around. Amenities & Service: Free breakfast is included—simple but appreciated. The fitness center is small but useful. Valet parking is available, but it can be pricey; some guests choose nearby garages for better rates. Staff were friendly and helpful, though service felt more standard than standout. Cleanliness & Value: Everything was tidy overall, though some of the decor and carpets looked slightly dated. For the location and convenience, the price felt fair—just note that rates can spike on weekends or during events.

This hotel is known for striking a balance between convenience and essential comforts, providing a solid foundation for exploring all that New Orleans has to offer without being overwhelmed by the city's ceaseless energy.
Guests consistently highlight the hotel's prime location and the straightforward, modern amenities it provides. The rooms are generally described as "clean, modern, and spacious enough," featuring comfortable beds, mini-fridges, microwaves, and nice showers – all the essentials for a pleasant stay. A significant draw for many is the complimentary breakfast, providing a simple yet appreciated start to the day. This location is a major asset, placing guests right in the vibrant Central Business District (CBD) and within easy reach of New Orleans' most iconic attractions.
Its proximity to the French Quarter is a significant highlight, described by guests as just a "short walk." This means you can easily immerse yourself in the historic charm, unique architecture, and lively atmosphere of Bourbon Street, Royal Street, and the famous jazz clubs without needing to rely on transportation. Crucially, while it’s close enough for quick access, it's also set back slightly, allowing for a more peaceful retreat compared to hotels directly within the Quarter, which can be "noisy and claustrophobic." This balance offers the best of both worlds: vibrant access and restful nights.
Beyond the French Quarter, the hotel's location provides excellent accessibility to other key New Orleans landmarks. For those arriving by air, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is approximately 11.5 miles away, a manageable drive or taxi ride. While valet parking is offered on-site for a surcharge, the central location also means that many attractions can be reached on foot or via the streetcar, potentially reducing the need for a car during your stay.

Jun 13, 2025 · Yaroslava MohammadiWe had several guests stay at the Fairfield recently for a wedding, and it was a great experience! The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and everyone had a great time. Our guests especially loved how the hotel was close enough to the French Quarter and the streetcar that they could easily go out and explore the city, but they weren’t so close that it felt noisy and claustrophobic. It was the perfect location! I want to give a special shout out to Danielle Caeser, the Sales Manager at the Fairfield, for being so accommodating with our room requests and so helpful throughout the wedding planning process. I also want to thank Ciara at the front desk (whose last name I unfortunately don’t have!) for being so incredibly kind to all our guests. They loved her! We’ll definitely be keeping the Fairfield in mind for any future visitors we have in New Orleans.
Apr 18, 2025 · Melanie MontgomeryThis was one of the better Fairfield Inns we have staid in. Spacious, quiet rooms, comfortable beds. Our only complaint was the cleaniest of the shower and the carpets. Shower floor needed some serious scrubbing. No water pressure what so ever. No hooks in bathroom or anywhere to hang wet towels ( with high humidity, towels don't dry and nowhere to hang them make it worse) Within 10 minutes of getting out the shower, your feet were black from the bedroom carpet. Hotel does not provide slippers. As Marriott members, and stay in lots, room floors need to have a deep clean or be replaced.
May 26, 2025 · Jen McculloughOther than windows facing brick walls and thermostat that wouldn't work, the rooms weren't bad. The showers on the other hand... All bling no substance. Absolutely no water pressure. I could have had a better shower with a garden hose. A 10 min shower took 45 minutes because there was no pressure to wash soap off and no handheld either! The rooms were way too expensive. Way too expensive! Yep purposely put that twice. No parking. You must pay for valet services. The only plus was the staff were extremely nice and helpful and the free breakfast was more than expected and delicious.
Feb 07, 2025 · Nicole WilliamsJohneisha, she was the BEST she was soooooo nice and caring she also was In need of a chair she was standing all day without a chair also she did 12 nights in a row she was just amazing. She talked to us every night and tonight (march 19 2025) she was waiting and said, "Did you guys come back from dinner?" That was sooooo nice. She was helpful she told us good stops for dinner. She also helped us with the valet. And remembers us by walking through the door and cares what we have done during the day. P.S she's the font desk lady.
