We stayed here for two nights and redeemed with Hyatt points. They upgrade us to cityview room. The room is pretty good, very clean and quiet. Decent room space in New York city. we are on 26 floor, but don't expect much city view from the room as it's most blocked by the nearby building. The hotel location is very awesome, there's a park nearby, and you can find good food. It also close to the subway, and go it from anywhere you want to reach

Grayson Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Introduce

Looking for a well-located and stylish hotel in Midtown Manhattan? Grayson Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, situated at 30 W 39th St, is part of the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category. Recent guest reviews consistently praise its exceptional location and welcoming staff, while also providing insights into its room sizes and dining options. Local users seeking a convenient base for exploring New York City should consider this hotel, keeping in mind certain aspects mentioned by previous guests.

Guests frequently commend the Grayson Hotel for its "very awesome" and "unbeatable" location. It is described as being on the edge of both the east and west sides of Midtown, centrally located near 34th Street to the south and Times Square to the north. This prime location offers easy access to a nearby park, a variety of good food options, and convenient subway connections, allowing guests to reach any part of the city with ease. One guest who redeemed Hyatt points was even upgraded to a city view room on the 26th floor, though they noted that the view was mostly blocked by nearby buildings.

The hotel rooms are generally described as "pretty good," "very clean," and "quiet," offering "decent room space" for New York City standards. However, one returning guest explicitly mentioned that if you are looking for a spacious hotel room in NYC, this isn't it, describing the rooms as "smallish" but "very clean and modern," just enough for two people. The emphasis is clearly on the quality and cleanliness rather than expansive size.

The hotel staff is consistently highlighted as "really welcoming and accommodating," contributing to a positive guest experience. However, a notable drawback mentioned by one guest is the food and drinks, which they found to be "WAY too expensive for not great quality." They also reported that the wait staff at the rooftop bar was "pretty rude" and seemed constantly rushed. This guest suggested that there are plenty of better bars in the area. Despite this, they still considered the hotel a good place to set up for a couple of days and explore the city.

As part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, the Grayson Hotel may offer unique features and experiences. In conclusion, Grayson Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt offers an exceptional location in Midtown Manhattan with clean and modern, albeit smallish, rooms and a welcoming staff. However, potential local users should be aware of feedback regarding the high cost and potentially disappointing quality of the food and drinks, as well as the service at the rooftop bar. For those prioritizing location and comfortable rooms, with alternative dining options readily available nearby, the Grayson Hotel could be a good choice for exploring New York City.

My second time staying at Grayson. If you are in NYC for a spacious hotel room..this isn't it. What Grayson offers is a very clean and modern hotel room on the smallish side. Just enough for 2. The location can't be beat. It is right on the edge of east and west and central to 34th street to the south and Times Square to the north. The hotel staff is really welcoming and accommodating. My only knock that keeps this rating from going higher is the food and drinks. Both are WAY too expensive for not great quality. The wait staff at rooftop was pretty rude and seemed to be in a hurry all the time. There are plenty of bars in the area you will enjoy better. Otherwise a good place to set up for a couple days and explore.

I frequently travel to New York City for business, and as someone who enjoys trying new hotels, I must say the Grayson Hotel by Hyatt has completely won me over. After my recent stay, I can confidently say this is now my top choice whenever I visit Manhattan. Everything about my experience was exceptional, from the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful send-off at check-out. First and foremost, the service was simply incredible. A special shoutout to Noel, Jasmine, Drew, and Barron, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and enjoyable. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. Whether it was providing quick assistance with my room or making personalized recommendations, their dedication was truly unmatched. The management should be proud to have such outstanding individuals on their team. The rooms were not only impeccably clean but also beautifully designed—modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything a business traveler needs. After long days of meetings, returning to such a cozy and well-appointed room felt like a dream. The amenities at the Grayson Hotel are equally impressive, from the on-site dining options to the fitness center and common spaces that cater perfectly to both work and relaxation. The location of the Grayson Hotel is also ideal, offering convenient access to Midtown and beyond while maintaining a quiet and refined atmosphere—a rarity in Manhattan! Grayson Hotel has set a new standard for me. The combination of impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and prime location makes it a standout among Manhattan’s many options. Kudos again to Noel, Jasmine, Drew, and Barron for making my stay unforgettable. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, and I hope this review highlights how much their hard work is appreciated. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—Grayson Hotel is a gem in the heart of NYC, and I can’t wait to return!

A few girlfriends and I stayed at the Grayson this summer while attending the U.S. Open. It was the perfect location, close to transportation and a few sites we wanted to hit in the city. The restaurant offered a delicious start to the day and the rooftop bar was a delightful place for a drink after sunset. What made the whole experience, though, was the staff. They were helpful, kind and a lot of fun. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Devon each night we returned. He MADE the trip. I'm looking forward to returning to the Grayson in late January!

Pros: Amazing location (around the block from Bryant Park and surrounded by lots of restaurants/coffee shops/bakeries). Affordable. Mattress is comfortable (although the sheets are a little rough); room windows open. Cute, unique robe. I didn’t mind that the room was tiny bc the decor was nice and it felt cozy. Cons: No parking (there is a loading area though so you can pull your car up to drop off/pick up luggage). Not even one bottle of complimentary water. Very slow/limited elevators (esp. in the morning during check-out). Toilet didn’t flush correctly (it was running when I walked in and very finicky when flushing). The extra toilet paper roll was also in a filthy, dusty bag (I would’ve preferred to look at a toilet paper roll than touch that dirty bag). Very loud in the morning. No sheer curtains for privacy (my view was directly looking into other hotel rooms).
