Holiday Inn Express Manhattan Times Square South by IHG

Fantastic stay! Front desk and breakfast staff are super helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond the expectations of a typical HIE staff. One of the breakfast staff members spent time to assist a family from Europe with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Great staff. The room was surprisingly a decent size compared to other hotels I've stayed at in New York City, and was very clean. Bed was comfortable, and great shower pressure and temperature. Also the room was incredibly quiet for being in midtown Manhattan. Easy walk to the office I was working from, the subway, and Harold Square as well as the ESB. Would stay here again!

Some deferred maintenance in room (peeling wallpaper, rust areas in shower). Room cleanliness medium (carpet not vacuumed during 4 night stay--encountered maid on cell phone/personal call while cleaning). Front desk staff mostly helpful. Place is quiet and room has nice amenities (coffee maker, iron/board, hvac works well). Location is perfect. Would stay again is "price is right".

We recently spent four nights here in December, and overall, our experience was delightful. The staff were fantastic—always friendly and accommodating, which made our stay much more enjoyable. The hotel and our room were clean and well-proportioned, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a day of exploring. The location was another highlight; it was convenient for accessing local attractions, dining, and shopping. The only reason I'm giving this hotel four stars instead of five is due to the breakfast situation. The breakfast room was quite small for the number of guests, which meant that many people had to wait for tables. Some guests ended up taking their food back to their rooms, which isn’t ideal for a leisurely start to the day. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying here again on our next visit!

Room was clean, but small for 4 people. Had minor hot water problem that was fixed quickly. Breakfast was what you'd expect for free continental, good. This location is excellent.

Upon arriving, staff was unfriendly and dismissive until four hours later when another staff member stored our luggage for us until check in. The rooms are outdated, no hot water, bad water pressure, a box set television, no alarm clock, and missing many other basic amenities. Our first room also had bed bugs and blood on the sheets. We brought this to the attention of the front desk only to be laughed at and originally told there were no other rooms available. The worker contacted his manager and they moved us to another room with no reimbursement or even partial reimbursement.
