My family and I are on a roadtrip from California to Florida and we were so excited to stay at this location as reward members, and we were really disappointed with the service and hospitality here. We requested towels, as there was only 3 for a family of 4 and one roll of toilet paper, and it took over 13 hours and multiple calls to the front desk for us to receive anything. The pool had no towels. The valet guys were hanging out in the garage chatting while we waited for 20 minutes at their stand before the man at the front desk asked if he could help us find him. The breakfast was also not stocked up on plates or silverware. The only positive experience we had was in our room sleeping. Absolutely would NOT recommend.
Hello, fellow Louisianans! When your travels bring you to the heart of our beloved New Orleans, finding accommodation that feels like a true home away from home can make all the difference. Situated in the vibrant Central Business District (CBD), this extended stay hotel is designed to provide you with the amenities and space you need to truly settle in and enjoy the Crescent City.
The concept behind Homewood Suites is to offer more than just a room; it’s about providing a spacious suite environment that allows you to maintain your routine and live comfortably. Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen, a feature highly valued by guests for its flexibility and cost-saving potential. This means you can prepare your own meals, store groceries, and enjoy a sense of normalcy, whether you're traveling for leisure or work. The ability to "open the windows" in the rooms, as noted by one guest, is a refreshing touch, allowing fresh air to circulate and adding to the residential feel.
While some guests have occasionally experienced challenges with service responsiveness and amenities stocking, it's important to consider that every hotel can have its off days. However, the consistent positive feedback highlights that the hotel is generally "clean & smelled very nice," with "clean & spacious" rooms. The majority of guests praise the "friendly & helpful" staff, which is a testament to the overall dedication to guest satisfaction. The aim of Homewood Suites is to create a welcoming and functional environment, and many visitors attest to the comfort experienced during their sleep, underscoring the quality of the in-room experience.

Additionally, guests will find "restaurants & shops within walking distance," providing convenient options for dining and necessities.
For transportation, while the famous St. Charles Streetcar line runs nearby, direct streetcar stops might require a short walk. However, various bus routes and taxi/rideshare services are readily available in the CBD, connecting guests to other neighborhoods like the Garden District or Arts District. For those arriving by car, the hotel offers valet parking, a common and often preferred option in downtown New Orleans due to limited street parking, though a fee applies. The staff can also assist with directions and local transportation advice. For air travel, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is approximately a 20-25 minute drive, with taxis, rideshares, and airport shuttles providing efficient transfers. This well-connected location truly makes Homewood Suites a convenient base for any New Orleans adventure.

Jun 17, 2025 · Kim ElliottHotel was clean & smelled very nice. It's located in a great area with restaurants & shops within walking distance. The rooms were clean & spacious, first time in a hotel where you could open the windows. The staff was friendly & helpful. The breakfast decent. We would stay here again.
May 25, 2025 · Renita BrownThe hotel was very nice. Smelled good as you enter. The lobby and restaurant area was very neat and nice. The staff was exceptional, especially the valet. The rooms were spacious and neat, however, the bedding, specifically the pillows and sofa were a little musty, should have been freshened up a little.
Jun 01, 2025 · Kim McfarlandThis is definitely one of the best and most unique Homewood Suites locations I’ve stayed at so far. It’s a convenient 5-7 min walk to Bourbon St. and is a recently renovated hotel with tasteful, New Orleans themed decor and furnishings. I really loved the boutique look of the hotel lobby as most Homewood Suites are generic in theme and decor. This is a nice extra. The breakfast is also uniquely crafted and featured some options that tasted better and looked better than some of the four-star hotels I stayed at. There was a really good fire, green and red salsa with birria chicken tacos, chia pudding, a variety of different pickled vegetables. It’s clear that attentiveness was put into every detail. My party and I enjoyed the spacious suites and they were comfortable. The only detractors were: - Sofa bed had no easy way to turn off the lights at night as you had to get out of the bed to reach a light switch. - when the sofa bed is open, there’s not much walking space and I stubbed my toe on the sofa, bed legs. - there is a stain on the mattress in the sofa bed. - the enclosed toilet-shower layout is a little inconvenient as it makes the toilet Inaccessible while one person is using the shower. - there is no table or surface inside the toilet-shower room to place clothes, phone or other personal items. - The bathroom floor is also very slippery and I fell and cracked my phone.
Jun 09, 2025 · Hanson DaiRooms are spacious and it's nice having essentially a one bedroom apartment but compared to other Homewood I've stayed at this one's mediocre at best. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's located near some really good restaurants/bars and attractions. I feel the rooms could be better kept, my bathroom had a lot of wear stains, a broken closet door, and a broken ice maker. Not a huge deal for me but might be an issue for someone staying longer. I also did digital check in and planned on using a digital key but quickly found out you cannot use the elevator without a regular key. Again not a huge deal but would have been nice to know before trying to go to my room. Parking is valet only and luggage carts are not really available. This wasn't a bad stop for my situation, I've been driving for almost 2 days and needed to clean up, experience some of New Orleans and sleep.
