I recently stayed at this hotel in Manhattan and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, close to everything, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and getting around the city. The reception staff were efficient, and check-in was quick and smooth. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a good variety of options, and the dining area was spacious, which is a rarity in the city. However, there were some drawbacks. The cleanliness left much to be desired; the rooms didn’t feel well-maintained, and the cleaning staff didn’t do a thorough job. The elevator was always busy, which meant long waits, especially during peak hours, their move is also annoying in the room where you feel living in a train station. Overall, while the convenience and service were solid, the hotel could definitely improve its upkeep and cleanliness.

One recent guest had a mixed experience. On the positive side, they found the location to be fantastic, offering incredible convenience for sightseeing, dining, and transportation throughout the city. They also noted that the reception staff were efficient, making check-in quick and smooth. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, providing a good variety of options in a spacious dining area, which is considered a rarity in Manhattan.

However, this guest also pointed out several drawbacks. Cleanliness was a significant concern, as the rooms did not feel well-maintained, and the cleaning staff's work was not thorough. The elevator was consistently busy, leading to long waits, particularly during peak hours. They also found the elevator's movement noticeable and disruptive within the room, likening the experience to "living in a train station." Overall, while they acknowledged the solid convenience and service, they felt the hotel could definitely improve its upkeep and cleanliness.

In contrast, another guest reported a "fantastic stay." They found the hotel to be really well placed and were fortunate to have a view of the Empire State Building. They praised the staff as great, always helpful, and willing to accommodate their needs. The breakfast was described as very good, although they recommended arriving as early as possible to secure a good table. The rooms were considered very comfortable and well-appointed, perhaps a bit dated but in good condition. This guest specifically noted that the room cleaning services were excellent.

As a Residence Inn, the hotel typically offers suites with kitchenettes, complimentary breakfast, and often evening socials, catering to longer stays. A fantastic stay. Really well placed and we were lucky enough to have a view of the Empire State. Great staff, always helpful and willing to accommodate. Very good breakfast but you need to get there as early as possible to get a good table. Rooms very comfortable and well appointed. Maybe a bit dated but in good condition. Room cleaning services excellent.

I was very disappointed in my stay at the residence inn in midtown Manhattan / times square. I got my room specifically because of my disability and I got an accessible room so that the indication could be clear that I would need help because I have a disability. However, the treatment I received well there was underwhelming and downright cruel. First of all I thought I was getting a room that had a kitchen. Come to find out it was a kitchenette. I've never stayed in a room that had a kitchenette before. Anytime I've ever stayed at a residence in it was always a complete kitchen. So I had to ask for a hot plate which I never used because I'm not used to using hot plates. Then I was supposed to have a ice maker in my fridge. The ice maker didn't work I spent the whole day requesting that someone come look at the ice maker so that they could get it to work. The whole day from in the morning right back until in the night I requested for someone to come and check on the ice maker. At 10:30pm at night is when someone finally arrived just to say "the ice makers don't work You have to get ice on the lower level" and when I asked can someone get me ice from the lower level I was told "I have more important things to do with this snowstorm you'll have to get it yourself." He should be fired. This is a treatment that you get at a midtown Manhattan hotel that you pay good money for. As I stated before I'm very disappointed and unhappy with my service there. No one took into account that the reason why I needed the ice is because I have issues that determine that I stay hydrated and the only way that I can drink the amount that I'm supposed to drink is with ice. No one took it to account the fact that I have a walker that turns into and it's hard for me to get around because I'm in pain and so I would need some help considering that I'm in an accessible room. No one cared about any of that but they sure enough to give me my bill when I was leaving. So you care more about the money than you do about people's lives and for that reason I want my money back I want a refund I want all of my money back the way I was treated was ridiculous if that's how you treat people with disabilities then you need to say that. That needs to be in your writing so that people with disabilities will not come there because obviously you don't want us there. I expect to get my money back the same way how you expected to not give me service and take my money I want my money back.

The staff at this hotel is top tier. So accommodating and helpful, all with a smile. Cannot say enough about the customer service at this hotel. Great free breakfast with a lot of seating. Great Manhattan location. Close proximity to everything.

The room was shoddy and depressing. Looked like the stools had been dragged along the road. I couldn’t stay. They agreed and allowed the refund. At least the room didn’t seem dirty. The parking cost more than stated on hotels tonight and it’s not per 24 hr but per use/24hr. So don’t use your car once it’s in there. They offered me free breakfast knowing it was free anyway, ‘thanks’. The valet parking return was exceptionally long. 45 minutes so far…..
