We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids in the Terrace Family Suite. It was our first time to NYC and the New Yorker was the perfect hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable and we really appreciated the efforts to preserve the original feel of the place whilst maintaining a modern touch. The staff were always polite yet professional, and location wise this place cannot be beaten. Highly recommended for first time families to NYC!

From there, we enjoyed stunning views of the Edge and the Chrysler Building. The room was spotless, and the staff were really accommodating. The hotel exuded a charming retro ambiance, which we absolutely loved. Its location was ideal—within walking distance of Times Square and conveniently close to Penn Station for easy subway access. Additionally, the Tick Tock Diner, situated within the hotel, proved to be both incredibly convenient and a delightful place for breakfast.

Can't fault it for the price we paid. Would definitely consider staying here again next time we come to NYC.
Mar 27, 2025 · Liam PeetLocation is amazing but the rooms are poor and the service poorer. Stayed for 4 nights and reported plumbing issues multiple times that were never resolved. Also one of our two key card randomly stopped working by day 2. If you stay here know that you are sacrificing room quality and sacrificing service for a good location.

Rooms fairly small & dated but nothing you wouldn't expect from any new york city hotel. Shower pressure is nothing I've ever experienced before & still dreaming of! Bathroom also has a bath to soak those tired feet at the end of the day. Room was a little cold in February & heating is old & tired, could be doing with a warmer blanket on the bed. Can't fault the staff and the views from the 23rd floor were nothing less than exceptional 💫 Lobby is grand and beautiful & you literally have everything on your doorstep! Looking forward to my next stay in July 🤩
